Sugar Land, Texas: Safest City in State
One of the many distinctions that Sugar Land, Texas has recently received is being named one of the safest cities in all of American to live in, and for the first time ever taking the honor of being the safest city in all of Texas. In all of America, the city is ranking as number twelve, which when considering the number of cities that were included in the search for the safest city, this is a distinction that really speaks to the community and what the person will find once they move here. These findings are based on the crime report that is published by the FBI and are using the following categories: murder, rape, robbery, vehicle theft, aggravated assault and burglary. Just why is Sugar Land so safe?
There is a strong police force in the community that really cares for those that are living in the community. The police force also states that those that live in the community are some of the most upstanding citizens that can be found anywhere. They do their part to make sure that the community is being held up the standards that they are wanting to live in. And this is a goal of the city council, which is to be one of the safest cities in all of America. And they are steadily climbing that ladder to the top. This is the first year that they have ever placed in the top out of all the cities that are in the state of Texas.
The city saw their crime rates decrease by quite a big percentage when compared to what it was like six years ago. For example, the violent crime rate decreased by eleven percent in 2009, and at the same time they found that the investigations done by the police force improved by 4.7 percent. So how is this going to help Sugar Land?
For one, it does make the city more attractive to those that may be considering a move to somewhere else. The reason for this is the fact that everyone wants to live in an area that is going to be safe for themselves and their families. And this city is one of those few in which they are going to find this. And due to this, Sugar Land is going to see growth in their city with more and more people looking for a safe city such as this one. And for those that already live in Sugar Land, this is a huge honor to have.
